The Boss – The Managing Director of Better Prepared Ltd is Duncan Kirkby, A Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, as well as being one of the first Home Inspectors to qualify. As a founding partner of the highly respected property practice – Kirkby & Diamond – Duncan has more than 30 years experience as a property surveyor and has more recently added to his qualifications by studies in energy assessment and sustainability.

New director, Alykhan Tejani MRICS, has merged his practice with BPL and the enlarged practice can now offer a broader range of services to its Customers. Aly has experience in the commercial and project management sector and has been providing professional support to Thames Valley Police, amongst others.

Another recent addition to the Management Team is Ian Brindle, MRICS, former Director of Valunation & Wolton Chartered Surveyors. Ian acts as Consultant and leads our team of specialists on expert witness matters. Ian also contributes to RICS valuation policy and advises various educational institutions on survey, energy and valuation related matters.

Surveyors – All valuations, building surveys and homebuyers reports are prepared by qualified chartered surveyors who are members of the R.I.C.S. Home Condition Surveys/ Energy Performance Certificates are produced by accredited, qualified, Registered Home Inspectors (who are also surveyors with many years of experience in the inspection and surveying of houses) .

Commercial EPCs - Chris Miller FRICS, is the lead on the commercial EPC front. Chris has broad experience in commercial property- including valuations of substantial commercial buildings in Eastern Europe, Australia and the Middle East.

Sustainabiliy - Mark Howson, heads the department providing SAP, sustainability and 'Code' Assessments, primarily to developers, architects and other property professionals but also to the home owner wishing to extend or alter their property.

Support – the administration and support team at Better Prepared are made up of long serving, dedicated staff. Client liaison, survey bookings and report provision are all handled by skilled personnel under the direct supervision of Alison Bruce.
